When it rains, it pours, they say. Well, I say pour on. Pour onto my head and let it run down every part of me. Pour onto me the lessons that I refused to sit in on, the notes that I refused to take, the studying that I refused to do, and the tests that I refused to prepare for. Pour onto me as you recycle the unlearned lessons back into my life and back onto my path. Put me through the lesson again, like a student who has to repeat the same grade—perhaps in a different classroom, with a new seating assignment. Pour onto me with full force so that my stubborn grip can loosen up, so that I finally allow myself to take the path of least resistance, so that I begin to flow with the waves of intended life. Pour onto me until I adjust my focus and view each event as an opportunity for growth. Pour on. -GR
