Acrylic paint on a concrete block wall.
Created during a 9-month extended stay out of the country.
I was given the opportunity to adorn the newly built bathrooms for the farm hands. These restrooms are primarily intended to be used by the seasonal workers to come to working during the harvest.
For the women, I wanted to create an atmosphere that would bring a smile to their faces and a sense of peace and calmness. The walls are filled with inspirational and loving phrases.
Wanting to add and extra element of creative design in the women’s space, I had a skilled local woodworker create a custom frame for a section of the wall.
For the men, I wanted to create a light hearted atmosphere that would promote joy, camaraderie and respect for the facility. The walls are filled with a mixure of motivational, spiritua and comical phrases.
